CARAVANA ZAPATISTA

Mexico DF

Participate in this historic event.
On Mar. 11, half million people will demonstrate in Mexico City supporting
the delegation of comandantes Zapatistas from Chiapas. They will go to
the
Mexican Congress at Mexico City to promote the legal recognition of
San Andres Accords and the autonomy of Indigenous communities in Mexico.
A caravan leaving from San Diego / Tijuana will be part of this historic event.
When: The bus to Mexico City will leave on March 8 and will return on March 17.
Where: The caravan will leave from Tijuana and will meet with buses from other Mexican states to travel together to Mexico City.
Cost: Transportation: $200.00 dlls. round trip.
Requirements:
1. Support the Zapatista program for autonomy to Mexican Indian communities.
2. Respect the collective organization when traveling to Mexico.
3. If you are not Mexican, you need a passport and $17 for a tourist
card.
ZAPATISTA PARTY IN TIJUANA
To all persons interested in the Zapatista caravan going to Mexico City: You are invited to an information meeting about the caravan on the February of 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the FZLN premises on Calle 10, #8175 in downtown Tijuana. Telephone: 011-526-685-5401.
And on the same Friday the sixteenth at 9:00 p.m. there will be a party
to benefit the caravan. Donation to enter will be $6.00 dollars or $50.00
pesos
with two drinks included.
Remember that 50% of what we make will be for the EZLN and the rest
will go to the caravan from here to Mexico City and to advertising. We
hope to see
you there.
The party will be in the house of Carmen Valadez and Jaime Cota (Friday, February 16, at 9:00 p.m.).

We also hereby announce a big concert with Tijuana No! and eight other bands on March 3rd in El Cortijo [The Farmhouse] "San Jose" of Tijuana Beaches, to benefit the caravan to Mexico City. Everybody: let¹s all go with the Zapatistas to Mexico City!
Remember: these are the very last days to sign up on the list for the caravan that will go by bus from Baja California to Mexico City to join up with the Zapatistas! Sign up with me and go to the Friday meeting..send in your names because there are only a few places left!
